In 2017 arterial (in collaboration with Urban Initiatives) completed a comprehensive wayfinding strategy for the walking and cycling facilities in Port Macquarie, (including the Port Macquarie coastal walk) and the smaller regional townships of Wauchope and Laurieton. The project involved detailed analysis of visitor destinations, tourist facilities, walking routes and decision points, prior to the development of designs for a signage and wayfinding suite to ensure consistency of message and design. Materials were chosen to reflect the local character.
